Seed & Grain NZ Summit

1-2 September 2026, Christchurch

Held every year, the SGNZ summit encompasses Forage and Turf, Grains and Pulses, Services to Seed and of course Vegetable Seed.

This includes companies producing for export, grass seed, cereals, vegetable seed producers etc and includes companies like Lefroy Valley who are vegetable seed importers.

This get together has been and will continue to be important for our sector and us as a company. As an industry we often face a lot of regulatory change especially at the border. Coming together provides us the resources to work with organisations such as MPI to work through issues.

Currently we are working through a new Group Standard for Treated Seed with the EPA. This affects the whole industry and has potential flow on for regulations beyond just the seed company.

All in all, a great summit with 100-120 members and associated displays from tech companies, bag providers and seed cleaning companies to name a few.

A great opportunity to meet with our fellow competitors and wet the whistle!
